All in all, Dying For Sex is a really beautiful, worthwhile, and queer watch, despite not being promoted or referred to as a queer show. Go to Full Review

“Dying for Sex” refuses to settle for the neutered, morose mood most expect from a cancer story. It’s quite something to behold. Go to Full Review

It’s almost impossible to pick which element of Michelle Williams’ astonishing performance is more impressive ... in a different year, this deeply moving and also funny gem would be showered with statuettes. Go to Full Review

One of the greatest strengths of Dying of Sex lies in Michelle Williams' performance, which gives Molly a blend of vulnerability and determination. The other is the tone achieved by its creators...[Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

There are zany bits involving disciplining a human pet and attending a "kink-forward play-party potluck."...But "Dying for Sex" is a lot deeper and more touching than its one-liners and cute raunchiness might suggest. Go to Full Review

Erica H @Erica904 4d Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Much watch. The show really highlights so many very real aspects of life. Sexuality, coping with illness, friendship, forgiveness and more. Kudos to the writers and actors that excuted this story so well. Every episode is worth discussing. I laughed. I cried. I thought about my own mortality and the people around me. It also made me grateful for health and life. I'm inspired by this series. Honestly, I don't have a single negative critic of this show. It was perfect. See more haoming Z @usr_H.Z Jan 31 A crazy series, you can’t treat first 7 episodes seriously, the husband is doing nothing wrong, the SMs & absurd s*x shit is fun; though I don’t understand why she is into the dirty mess neighbor . In the end it’s a stay strong, be positive, death is not horrible. I hate to say sth bring it to next level… See more melvin h @melawman Jan 31 I watched the series. A true story. A fourteen year marriage. Wife is diagnosed with terminal cancer and decides to leave her husband and explore her "sexuality." Sex party, LGBT, you name it. Now, do I find this "inspirational" as so many seem to do? No. First, does it seem rational that a middle aged woman would decide the priority in her life is sexual "awakening?" Was her marriage that bad? Every day wives and husbands are diagnosed with potential terminal cancer and other illnesses? What do the great majority of them do? They support their spouse that they love. And I can say from personal experience that most men who truly respect and love the woman who is their life partner would give their own life for them. So, if this is a true story, I find it profoundly sad on many levels. If you get cancer, dump your spouse and experiment with drugs, sex and rock and roll. See more D R @BuckDSystem Jan 30 I don't hate it, I don't love it. I can understand why some love it, and I can understand why some hate it. None of the main characters were likeable, but neither were the characters on The Sopranos either, but it was still rated one of the best shows of all time. The thing about The Sopranos was that you knew it was a show about the mob. But here you have a show about a married couple where one is dying from cancer, and the wife becomes the most insufferable person, with a best friend that you wouldn't ever want to be around, and a husband who doesn't know how to be a man. Michelle Williams is playing the same character as she did in "Take This Waltz", only with cancer. I admire her artistic choices, picking characters who do shitty things, but sometimes it gets tiring watching a character who never thinks of anyone else except themselves. See more Nalaya C @Nalaya Jan 13 Amazing acting. Amazing characters. I love that it's a true story and that the sexual adventure is not exactly what you'd expect. I also was very touched by the attention given to the actual death process. Beautiful! See more Kyle M. @SFMorty Jan 1 Simply one of the most honest, funny, intelligent shows I’ve seen in years….
