A century before the events of "Game of Thrones," two unlikely heroes wander Westeros. In an adaption of George R. R. Martin's novella "The Hedge Knight," a young and naive but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg, face a series of dangerous exploits. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and images of the last dragon have not yet passed from living memory, great destinies and powerful foes await these improbable and incomparable friends.

I'm not a fan of scatological humor, but the series as a whole is very good. I like how the atmosphere doesn't try to copy that of previous series, since the story has a different purpose, focusing much more on the daily life of an ordinary person in the Middle Ages and their trials. I think the public has become spoiled by the magic and nobility and has lost the human and political essence of the books. I like how the story is being built gradually and trusts itself enough not to need to spoon-feed the audience. A well-planned script doesn't need 10-minute expository dialogues or time jumps to save on character development.

Starts a bit slow but gradually develops and feels very warm and lovely 💙🙌. Yes, I too feel that the runtime should have been more but I guess there is a lot less to watch than to read. I am completely immersed in this world because of its great world-building and lovely atmosphere. So ya Thumbs up from me. Lovely series.🕊️✨

I am loving this show. I can't figure out why some people don;t like it. Are they expecting CGI dragons and lots of violence? It's not GOT. It's a different show. GOT was vast in scope. This show is very small, just a tiny glimpse into a week-long period of a few characters of lesser importance. GOT was about the lives of Royalty. This show is about the smallfolk.
