Frank E @Frank424 6d For the first time ever I watched this movie and then watched it again the night after and again 4 days later. The acting of Emily Hall is outstanding and totally mesmerising. The conversation is compelling and watching the relationship pivot engages all of your emotions. You are left asking yourself a question that I will only generalise as "I wonder if Jack had only............." It's a little gem with only two characters and thus requires great acting to keep the engagement. The acting is truly outstanding and beautiful to watch. See more Bisquiteen T Jan 12 Subverts expectations, but in a good way - not in a "haha we got you, we totally lied to you and here's a totally nonsensical twist" way, but, to keep things spoiler-free, in a "huh, that went in a different direction than I thought it would, but it's still logical for the story so that's almost clever" kind of way. The leads were both adept at their jobs and even when I thought (wrongly) that this would be a trope-heavy "teehee we pulled the rug out from under you" mess with nothing to say, I was interested enough to stick around. Glad I did. As a side note, the transcription for the subtitles is absolutely TERRIBLE, I mean, like, saying "I'm such a basket" instead of "I'm such a basketcase" or "in the Google of Flowers" instead of "in the lieu of flowers," but that was pretty funny so can't be too mad about it. The movie has a lot of strong scenes that are deep and takes a look at what can go wrong from a one night stand. The movie is directed by Duane Edwards and stars Emily Hall & David Kelsey. This is a very realistic journey of a woman with believable characters that are incredibly genuine to watch on screen. The storyline pulls you in many directions as you're watching this movie. The movie has lots of real life circumstances. This is a natural ride through life portrayed on screen. It was also shot in a very cool way with many scenes that make you think and reflect. I thought all the lead actors all had great onscreen chemistry– they were great together. The sets and scenes are great. Check this movie out! You’ll remember it! See more Kolo P @koloTV Mar 17 The film pretty much has two characters and a lot of dialogue which may be hard for those challenged with attention. There are no 1 second shots so we are forced to listen and watch the character interactions and responses to each other. Scenes like these need good actors to carry the performances and this pair (David Kelsey from 'Monsters' and Emily Hall from Lumina). It was nice to see the story unfold between the young girl and the older family man and the sets and locations were well lit and blended with the story easily without being too vibrant nor subdued. Nice film and easy to watch See more Andrew W Mar 12 Wrong numbers is an independent drama by filmmaker Duane Edwards making his directorial feature film debut. Set in Chicago The film is broken into two halves The first half after a bad blind date in a restaurant perfect strangers Emma (Emily Hall) and Jack (David Kelsey) strike up a conversation and briefly share a connection. The second half is set ten months later where Emma coincidentally runs into Jack at the cafe she works at. However it becomes very clear their second meeting is no coincidence, and Jack has made some very drastic changes to his life since they last spoke. Viewers looking for a fast paced film with action and neat resolutions in the end will be sorely disappointed but for the rest of us the nuances of the story was definitely worth investing my time and energy into. The dialogue was very good and the characters felt relatable- I’ve met a lot of people like Jack and Emma well meaning individuals trying to navigate this messy world and being stuck in relationships routines and situations they don’t want to be in but just can’t break away from. Overall Wrong Numbers was a very put together film about longing unrequited love and reflecting on the chances you didn’t take and where it couldve lead.
