One whopper of a plot-twist briefly gives "Trick" an original hook. But by the end of the picture it's clear the filmmakers aren't really interested in exploring any of the potentially interesting sociopolitical implications of their big surprise.

Trick is savage, brutal and twisted in all the best ways. It's a razor sharp, slick as hell return to form for Lussier and an absolute must see for any fan of the slasher genre.

Always looking for a good slasher suggestion, and this one didn’t cut it. Which is pretty much the premise of this movie - lots of knife cutting and stabbing by a face painted/masked psycho trained in Filipino martial arts. Jamie Kennedy was a waste, Omar Epps was boring, and nobody could act. And the big twist ending, Meh.

Mostly boring. A couple cool brutal scenes, but honestly I fell asleep halfway through out of boredom. The Tom Atkins appearance was cool, I guess, but his acting seemed contrived. The film was average length, but felt like it went on forever, pretty typical modern "horror" film with bad acting and a snooze fest plot.
