Walter W 1h Two former baseball players team up for a darkly funny road trip on the rural backroads of a post plague America with undead around every corner or basement in "The Battery" (2012) streaming on Prime. The entire film was shot on a budget of just $6,000. One of the baseballer's "Mickey’s" (Adam Cronheim) initiation for his first kill is brutal, but a necessary evil turning point for him to cope better in a world of zombies. Writer & Director Jeremy Gardner is fond of a montage to propel this 1 hour 41 minute movie forward, so expect a few neatly edited montages. It’s a daring feature length movie debut as he also stars as the lead "Ben". If you’ve ever thought the incessant noise of the undead surrounding your stranded Volvo in New England was "like rain on a tin roof" then this might be the zombie horror movie for you and proof of why I always buy cars with a sunroof.
