The love story is genuinely romantic and Blofeld's evil psychedelic hypnosis plan to distribute a virus via an international group of brainwashed young women is the kind of thing that I wish these movies did more of. Lazenby is a good James Bond actually, he has a kind of quiet melancholy that adds convincing depth to the character. Also the tragic ending is still surprising and heartbreaking. Listen, I like Connery and was glad ha had a late career resurgence, but I never thought he was all that and given the 'era' of cinema, I didn't think it required much acting. He was good- that's all. Lazenby I thought was Awesome. He was what Bond should've been. And the movie was the best they'd made so far. I hope everyone gets a chance to watch it b/c if you don't like it than NONE of Sean Connery's were any good. It’s also unique that James Bond gets married in the film. Action is done well as one might expect. The setting is in Swiss Alps. Lot of machine guns and snow skiing. Pretty women of course.
