Craig B @Boundsy 2d Not the best low budget SciFi horror movie I've seen, and certainly not the worst. Thankfully, it's short. There are aspects of this "film" eg: soundtrack and opening that sound and look very similar to another SF film completely out of the league of this filmmaker called "under the skin" (an incredible SF masterpiece) and an unabashed copy of the above in my opinion. Glaring idiocy of the female lookout keeper is an insult to intelligence and gender - just what the hell is going on with the screenwriter to come up with such dribble - read some quality literature !! I watched this on the Prime streaming service! Such low quality content. This film belongs on either Tubi or YouTube..in my opinion. By the end, the film confirms the presence of an alien entity and a mysterious object that enhances strength and speed, yet stops short of explaining purpose, origin, or consequence. The threat is identified, but the stakes remain . Character turns in the final act feel abrupt rather than earned, and major revelations arrive too late to feel integrated. The alien’s ability to move between hosts and communicate through technology is intriguing, but underdeveloped. When the film concludes, it resolves the immediate danger while leaving the central questions unanswered. Ambiguity can be effective, but here it feels like omission. Lookout builds atmosphere and tension competently, yet declines to articulate its own thematic or narrative payoff. The result is a film that explains what happened, but not why it mattered.
