See more 09/13/2011 A self-conscious exercise in surrealism from Robbe-Grillet. One of those films perhaps best left for "random middle of the night weird movie viewings", as plotwise it is pure nonsense but has some striking visual imagery, notably the references to Magritte paintings. Unlike some of the best dream-logic films it never feels like there is a solid foundation to the film, and feels like arty/sexy/fetishy strangeness for strangeness sake.
