At school, Roseanne (Monica Keena) is the object of fellow student Vincent's (Vincent Kartheiser) infatuation, By night, she deals with a troubled family life: her mother, Maggie (Ellen Barkin), cheats on her drunken husband, Fred (Michael Ironside). When Maggie's adultery is revealed, Fred viciously takes his anger out on stepdaughter Roseanne. With the help of her boyfriend, Jimmy (James DeBello), Maggie plots her revenge, but Vincent might be the one to help her forge a new life.

Interesting film that I found to very profoundly sad, because the teens involved seemed to have absolutely no support from any of the adults who should have been helping them. Instead, they floundered about in their own world try so hard to cope, because the adults selfishly were too concerned with their own problems. Thus, the movie has a lot to say about the state of youth in society today. At least it ends on an up note with the boy everybody called a freak coming to the girl's aid and giving her some hope.
