The implausible escape of a brilliant murderess brings U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels and his new partner to Ashecliffe Hospital, a fortress-like insane asylum located on a remote, windswept island. The way he leans into the mystery genre and makes it feel like fresh, new material we have not seen before. In addition, he really leans into the use of color and earth elements like blue and water, yellow and fire, as a form of symbolic storytelling to serve as a foreshadowing of the truth hiding beneath the layer of mystery.
