When Viktor Navorski (Tom Hanks), an Eastern European tourist, arrives at JFK in New York, war breaks out in his country and he finds himself caught up in international politics. Because of the war, the Department of Homeland Security won't let him enter or exit the United States. He's trapped at JFK -- indefinitely. While living at the airport, Viktor falls for a flight attendant (Catherine Zeta-Jones). She may have feelings for him too. But what good is love if Viktor can't leave the terminal?

Although it is way too idealistic, The Terminal works because the characters’ idiosyncrasies are still relevant today. The script conveys that universal bond immigrants form between each other, given their social status in a foreign country.

The Terminal is quite a Movie. It displays some issues that exist in some systems, where they rather crush than help people. Tom Hanks gave a Spectacular Performance, as he really portrayed Viktor really well. Something that caused a reaction in me is how not everyone tried to understand Viktor, which, sadly, is something really common, the most they did was trying to get a Translator, which they didn't get. A lot of the plot of the movie is based on misunderstandings, but still have a flow that doesn't feel weird, rushed or forced. The Movie is really a gem, it is really enjoyable and fun to watch. The combination of Drama and Comedy feels really natural, and Jokes are not really forced as they could be in other movies. The movie doesn't look an easy laugh, but it maintains the funny moments in good moments.

This movie is my favourite movie of all time in terms of its rewatchability and quirkiness. I have never seen a movie similar to this one before as the story itself is unique. The story is elavated through the great selection of actors in the movie such as Tom Hanks, Stanley Tucci and Catherine Zeta-Jones. I would strongly recommend this movie no matter what type of audience you may be.

It is quite a charming film , but it doesn’t hit for me. It’s unbelievable with a cast of characters that are not real people more like cartoon than real life. I can’t believe it ever see anyone in real life being any of these people . The line between good and bad is to definite and falls flat

The definition of a feel-good film. Although a little idealistic, The Terminal is inspiring and wholesome, with - as always - an extremely strong performance from Tom Hanks.

Ok, though it stumbles a lot- it's heartfelt and has it's moments of tenderness. I don't keep 3 stars for my collection, except this one and a small handful of others for similar reasons.

I love rewatching the show. Obviously, the logistics sometimes don't make sense, but if we don't focus on that, the character itself and the story were great.
