The stars are gone. The planets have disappeared. Only individuals aboard space stations or starships were left to give the end a name -- The Quiet Rapture. After decades of decay and crumbling infrastructure, the Consolidation of Iron has made a discovery on a barren moon designated AT-5. An ocean of blood. Hoping to discover desperately needed resources they immediately launch an expedition. A submarine is crafted and a convict is welded inside. Due to the pressure and depth of the ocean the forward viewport has been encased in metal. If successful, they will earn their freedom. If not, another will follow. This will be the 13th expedition.

There’s not a lot of plot here, certainly not enough to sustain a full two hours. And those previously unacquainted with the game are likely to make little sense of the few things that do happen. Go to Full Review

Fischbach holds steady before the camera; more money and bigger sets will doubtless come his way. But he can’t pull off the dramatic heavy lifting required to convert a short film’s worth of plot into a watchable feature. Go to Full Review

“Iron Lung” is audacious and at times astonishingly boring. Still, it feels more enthusiastic and celebratory than many blockbuster adaptations built on safer math. Go to Full Review

Iron Lung is a remarkably accomplished debut for Markiplier behind and in front of the camera. A slow-burning submarine voyage into cosmic dread, more inspired than much of the modern horror genre, Iron Lung fundamentally trusts its audience. Go to Full Review

His ingenious and uncompromising approach to turning an engaging playthrough into a white-knuckle cinematic experience is something that can be called a true original, unbeholden to conventions of duration, collaboration or self-conscious discipline. Go to Full Review

Annakyn 21m I thought this was a very good movie, my only complaint was I felt Mark overacted a bit, but it wasn't enough to ruin the movie just enough I noticed, and it may just be my opinion but I think everything else was very enjoyable See more AV 25m Never played the original game. No spoilers but it was a good psychological horror indie film. See more Yocelyne F @Yocelyne 34m Mark devoured this movie and his role. Even Edge of Sleep had me hooked! I can't wait for him to make more films in the future!! See more Dixie 35m FREAKING LOVE IT!! This movie was a masterpiece, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time even though I knew what was bound to happen from watching his play through.
