Seeking solace from his dark past, Logan (Hugh Jackman), better known as Wolverine, seems to have found love and contentment with Kayla Silverfox (Lynn Collins). Logan's peaceful existence is shattered when Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber), his vicious brother, brutally murders Kayla. Logan's thirst for revenge propels him into the Weapon X program, where he undergoes a painful procedure to bond his bones with adamantium, making him virtually indestructible and more than a match for Victor.

The infamous attempt at a Wolverine origin story that's entertainingly bad and unintentionally hilarious. Hugh Jackman is trying, but even he seems confused and doesn't really know what's going on. The movie is most infamous among fans for its horrible butchering of Deadpool that sowed his mouth shut and looks nothing like him. Will.I.Am plays a mutant cowboy and it's just as goofy as you'd expect. Ryan Reynolds is decently entertaining as Deadpool before they sow his mouth shut and ruin him. I have very mixed feelings about Wolverine's bone claws. They make sense for his mutant powers. But they just look weird and kind of gross. Not very intimidating. The movie has lots of slow-mo and explosions during the over-the-top action scenes that border on cartoon physics. The CGI adamantium claws look bizarrely cartoonish and fake, and it's really jarring. It's a bad origin movie. But it's an unintentionally hilarious bad origin movie.

Hugh Jackman gives one of his best portrayals as Wolverine in this film. The beginning of this movie was pretty good and it just went off the rails.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a guilty pleasure movie that’s still bad, but rewatchable. The visuals are stunning, the action sequences are nonstop action packed and violent. Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is awesome and cool. It is so fun and epic. But now let’s go the negative and the bad elements in this movie. Which is Deadpool, and his mouth shut. The other characters suck. They wasted Gambit so dirty. Story kinda sucked pretty bad. Overall, I give X-Men Origins: Wolverine a 6.5/10 or 3.5/5 stars.
