Claudio C @Claudio666 Feb 25 Entertaining Thriller with a Dramatic Story (12,299- 25 Feb 2026 – Claudio Carvalho) In 1988, the mother of the 17-year-old Katrina "Kat" Connors, Eve Connors, vanishes. Kat goes with her father, Brock, to the police and Det. Scieziesciez, is in charge to investigate the case. Kay goes under therapy with Dr. Thaler and her boyfriend Phil reduces his interest on Kat. Three years later, Kat is at college and spends a holiday in the house of her father. When she has one night stand with Scieziesciez, she learns that the father was the main suspect of the disappearance of Eve. "White Bird in a Blizzard" (2014) is an entertaining thriller with a dramatic story. The plot is quite predictable, but the last scene showing why Eve was murdered is a great and surprising twist. The performances are excellent. My vote is seven. See more Brent G @bgillett86 May 20 I’d imagine the book this film is adapted from is a much more suitable medium for this story and probably very good, but this movie is awful. There’s a line in which Shailene Woodley’s character is narrating about her therapy sessions in which she describes her therapist (played by the amazing Angela Bassett) as an “actor acting as a therapist” and that she herself was acting along. That’s kind of how I felt about a majority of the characters in this film, they were less real and more-so actors acting like actors. It is really a bizarrely bad movie. I was not expecting the ending it delivered, but it left things 'up in the air' as it didn’t exactly clarify enough.
