I found it so relatable then as well as now. Winona is really great in this, sensitive and believable. The supporting characters are a bit all over the place and could be whittled down in number while expanding the characters but hey - the main storyline is well acted. Thoroughly recommend. See more Chloe M 01/03/2025 Personally, I enjoyed this movie as someone who loves the feeling of nostalgic films and enjoys weird and different plots and characters. I loved Winona Ryder’s character Dinky, she’s an edgy outcast who makes no effort to conform to society, I found her funny and surprisingly relatable. I do think this movie is lacking a lot of character development and leaves you feeling like something more is missing. I wish Dinky’s adoptive mother learned to accept her as she is, and we would get to see Denton reunite with his family and actually become a redeemable character. All in all this movie was more enjoyable than 99% of recent films so definitely worth a watch if you go into it just expecting a quirky, different movie.
