During the Vietnam War, soldier Luc Devereaux (Jean-Claude Van Damme) finds that his superior officer, Andrew Scott (Dolph Lundgren), has turned violently deranged, and the two fight to the death. After their bodies are retrieved, they are placed into a secret program in which they are reanimated and trained to become unquestioning killing machines. While Devereaux and Scott initially have no memory of their former lives, glimpses of their pasts start to return, rekindling their intense conflict.

Both Van Damme and Lundgren are about as interesting as soup cans, so the main appeal of the picture is waiting for these soup cans to puncture or flatten each other in ever more horrific ways.

A promising premise with a pair of 80's/90's action star legends, that unfortunately doesn't deliver. Van Damme's over acting at times or is just showing off his body. I understand that he's supposed to be a cyborg like creature, but his acting performance has been much better in past movies as well as some future movies. The plot and theme seems like a rip off of Terminator, but much worse with a Robocop like rogue robot. The fight scenes are decent, but not spectacular. The chemistry of Ally Walker and Van Damme is probably the best thing about the movie, having a few funny moments that make you chuckle.

This movie was exactly what it was supposed to be. A semi Syfy action movie. It wasn't supposed to have great dialogue. I thought that once Dolf snapped out of his brain fog he was pretty comical. All the soldiers were supposed to pretty much act like robots. No it's not the best movie ever made but it's entertaining.

Universal Soldier is a great Movie and a Clash of the two Action Titans Jean Claude van Damme and Dolph Lundgren.The Movie has also some well known Faces in it like Ralf Moeller,Michael Jai White,Ed O`Ross and Ally Walker.

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são mais ou menos, a história é fraca, o elenco é mais ou menos, e alguns ajudam a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom
