Jonathan B @TrainMasterX 4d None of the acting is very good and it is a very boring recreation of what can be a very good film. Would recommend the 1950 one instead. See more steve d 01/07/2023 Forgettable version of the often told tale. See more s r @ScottR 06/09/2022 Yeah, I only saw it for Welles and was disappointed. The acting, directing, writing, music and editing were poor. It was a chore to get through, especially when Orson's enunciation made it so hard to understand what he was saying. The potential was squandered. I hope someday there will be a good remake worthy of the novel. It was on Tubi. See more 11/01/2013 An ok movie.. I like the story and I believe I will see more versions of it in the future. See more 04/25/2012 Wasting a great story and undisputed acting talent. See more 04/27/2011 i didn't like this version as much as the 1950 & 1934 versions. the actors didn't capture the right tone and the cinematography is too infected with it's time - very 70s, soft focus, etc. and quite honestly the actors were all so mediocre it just left me flat. better of with the older versions.
