The movie has beautiful cinematography and music, making it a pleasant watch overall. The script begins promisingly but then veers off track and becomes somewhat silly. It would have probably worked better if it were a bit more subtle when it comes to all the supernatural events

It extremely effective in making the audience feel all kinds of things. It makes you fear the danger of a character disappear due to Thelma's ability and for what her parents would be capable of doing to stop her. To not know what is happening and the religious homofobia from her parents only increase the tension and the thrill. The dramatic aspect here is brutal and guilty is present. The characters are deep and have layers. At first, I thought it was just an uncreative sobrenatural horror, I was wrong
