They took a fairly decent book and butchered the movie. Not enough was explained and not enough build up. Plus …. So many things wrong in the movie adaptation that were completely annoying like … the main character was in Cabin 9, not 8. Why change that? She had a great boyfriend on shore. Why leave him out ? The staff did not know that Richard had accidentally killed his wife. That was a big plot hole and unnecessary confusion. Just a mess !

It was so annoying and painful to watch. It started out so slow then moves on quickly and everything just happenes in a way I cannot even explain, lots of plot holes and it was so rushed at the end. In the end I was watching just because I have to finish it and not because I wanted to know what happens next.

Lot of holes and underdeveloped moments. Ultimately, the reveal comes too early, and leaves the audience waiting around for a conclusion that felt like it couldn’t come soon enough.

I was excited to watch this movie, but once on it sunk fast. They drug out the movie by creating this build up of a reporter running around the boat acting crazy. The acting was C list at best from an A list actress. Terrible movie all around. Big expectations gave me a big waste of time. Terribly written and acted all around.
