Paul H @PaulHarvey2 3d If you know little about the Navajo culture, you could be disappointed with the 2nd half of the movie. It's hard to understand what you don't know. There are a lot of good movie conflicts, both obvious & internal, soul-searching conflicts going on here. Excellent work by the writers. Even better work by the actors & director to capture the personal dynamics between the "Family" and the lost child. And then the additional dynamics when the husband comes. I feel those who didn't want to give this movie a better ratilng simply were expressing what they like or don't like which has nothing at all to do with whether or not a movie is good or not. The scenery was magnificent althought I wonder how much of it was shot OFF the reservation. Some of the best parts of this movie are the scenes with Tantoo Cardinal. That woman can act!!! The worst part of this movie is how they used two different horses to portray the same horse wild and then tame in order to make Jack look like a Horse Whisperer See more 05/01/2012 The beginning was interesting, but then it just turned into a "let's go live on an Indian reservation and discover my roots" movie. See more 06/13/2009 N luv w/ the busdriver!! Aye...Aye...Aye...! See more 04/06/2009 Sadly, this is the best Halmark film on that crappy channel and even this was creepy. See more 03/26/2009 I just got done seeing this. I absolutly loved it. See more 07/05/2008 Better than your typical Halmark flim. Loved the movie because it kept you hangin. She was so torn. Her husband was very accomodating. Good hearted movie. See more Read all reviews
