Beige T @RT91784870 Oct 7 This movie is a 5/10. I wouldn't say it's bad or good. It's in the middle for me to be honest. I'm quite unbiased and try to understand a lot of things in the story I just watched. Other than the animation being great (because its Wit Studio so of course), I thought the concept of 'corpse engineering' was pretty cool as I had never seen it before or came across something like this. And it hooked me in at first. But I did like this movie to a degree, the plot was fine, animation was good, and characters were fine, but the pacing felt a little too fast for my taste. I wouldn't say this movie is my favorite, but I would recommend watching it to pass the time with some friends but that's just me. Spoilers and thoughts about the movie: My main problem was the fact that everyone was being injured and somehow is still able to move perfectly fine or its healed the next day. The main character got shot on the shoulder like 4 different times and even in the knee, and he's still moving just fine. I don't know if I missed anything but they never explained how it all worked, because I'm still at a loss at why the main character stabbed himself in the end with what they use to reanimate corpses. I guess it could have something to do with souls and all that. And I'm not actually sure if they explained how that zombie or automaton lady came to be, and how she was made or even existed, is she a corpse or what...? I think I might've missed that part. My favorite character was that one old Japanese guy with the katana, he was pretty cool that he soloed a big samurai zombie, and the dude got stabbed in the stomach and pulled that sh*t out and still fought like a beast, and he's still alive in the movie XD What I am sad about was that one white haired Russian guy that was traveling with the main character suddenly killed and died, I was starting to like him and I was pretty disappointed, See more peter m @RT17062669 08/12/2019 This was a very enjoyable story. Good graphics, compelling story line, adventure and a reasonable end. The ending is possibly the weak spot of the movie, but the journey to get there is very enjoyable. See more 10/23/2018 The visuals are pretty but I've definitely saw better. Half of the time, I dont know what this movie is trying to be is it trying to be a fun run of the mill zombie movie? A philosophical scifi? How bout a steam punk? Also, too many open questions? Why the hell are these living people stabbing themselves with the thing that you use to reanimate the corpses? Are the corpses somehow like androids cause he sure used Friday as one. I just hoped that they laid out the ground rule more cause half of the time I dont know whats the point of everything. Or is it cause it was dubbed? Or am i too dumb? Haha Anyway, they really aimed high on this one. Kudos to that. See more 12/26/2017 A world of the late 19th century involved with reanimating corpses for labor use. The animation is light, it is not very capturing but just bright, but some movements like the engines running are mesmerizing. The story looks a bit basic but of course it is another one of those that questions the life after death scenario. Some action scenes involved to keep the boredom aside, the closure adds some questions and of course there's a nice surprise at the end to all who knows a great popular literature. It tried but didn't have good execution.
