Yet, Decoy Bride somehow manages it while also surprising the viewer with unexpectedly weighty and thought provoking moments. It's feel good without sacrificing meaning and depth. There’s nothing realistic — and no clumsy explanations are offered, either. The movie runs purely on impressions — the characters’ and ours. It’s driven along by a 30-year-old woman who has the heart of a three-year-old girl, which isn’t something you often see.
