Tim Treakle See more Dana 06/08/2023 This is a nod to classic detective pairings - Jonathan & Jennifer Hart and Stuart & Sally McMillan are even mentioned in the movie. It's a cut above, not just for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, but for many offerings on TV today. This has a retro-glam feel with some comedy and mystery thrown into the mix. Will Kemp is glorious. A clever comedic actor, a wonderful dancer who oozes charm. Lacey Chabert is great in the role whether she's being the more serious detective, loosening up and becoming more lighthearted or dancing in beautiful dresses. She and Will Kemp are a wonderful pairing. The dance scenes are sublime, in particular a tango rehearsal in water and a dream sequence in black & white. The scenery, clothes and cars are reminiscent of the gorgeous high-impact glamour of classic 1960s movies like To Catch a Thief. I'm not sure how they could incorporate dancing in future installments, but I sure hope they try. I loved everything about it. The dancing is terrific, the repartee perfect, and the island of Malta is stunning. As often said in reviews of their movies, there is a delightful special chemistry between them.
