...a beautifully-realised tribute to a brave woman who pioneered the science of ballooning, Amelia Wren; the knowledge that Wren didn’t actually exist somewhat lets the air out of the balloon of Tom Harper’s fancy film.

If this film were a seventy minute, close quarters thriller set in an air balloon, maybe it would be something exciting. As is, it's more of a halfhearted attempt at winning awards.

I loved the story line and the deeper message. The chemistry between Felicity & Eddie were amazing, I was actually rooting for them to end up together. It was a great movie.

Loved the excellent sets depicting London in the 1800's. Also the casting we excellent. I especially loved the classic faces of all the scientists in this film. Finally, the action scenes in the last third or fourth of the film were outstanding and the tenderness that grew between the main characters was very well done. Nice job, Amazon on choosing this story and making it come alive in so many ways. One negative was that this great family friendly film should have gotten much more press and advance advertising than it did. Strange and unfortunate choice to have missed the chance to do so.

This was a good movie with some hold your breath scenes. The story was based on historical information which was amazing to see what was accomplished back in the late 1800s. The acting was good, as was the cinematography. I recommend this flick.
