Studio 666 Reviews
Is this a GREAT movie? In the artistic, character development, philosophical, or visual sense? Absolutely not. But is it a FUN movie? Where a group of friends got together to make their wacky dream of a B-horror movie come to life? With plenty of gratuitous gore and rock music centered dialog? Absolutely yes! I'm probably pretty biased because I love the Foo Fighters, but this movie is just damn fun overall. It's the guys being the guys, making (unbeknownst to all but Dave) demonic rock music, and essentially having a grown up Scooby Doo adventure (Pat is hilariously basically the Scooby of the gang). Don't expect cinematic greatness, but expect good laughs with the Foo Fighters and you'll love it as much as I did. I'm adding this to my Halloween favorites because my friends (and anyone around at the time) NEED to see this!
Fabulous campy fun. Just what we love about the Foo-will probably never have this again. Fly High Hawk. We miss you.
This movie is hilarious and fun. Its by no means amazing writing or acting. But its exactly what you think it will be. Fun and campy and gory and a great way to kill a little time (pun intended)
Filled to the brim with Dave Grohls genius
Laughed the whole way through! It was like Tenacious D meets Army of Darkness. I would go see again.
Thought the "monsters" were way too fake. Just kind of a corney movie.
Fun movie ! I love The foo fighters. Well done 👏
Dave Grohl owes me a refund , THIS MOVIE SUCKS!
So much fun. Laughed for two hours straight. The new music is awesome.
Studio 666 is gory and entertaining, with some impressive horror visuals alongside the obvious fun the guys in the band were having. Foo Fighters fans will likely appreciate it more than horror fans who arent familiar with them, but I imagine the overlap between those two groups is large enough to make it a fun time at the movies for anyone interested enough to see it.
Cheesy horror/comedy with adequate story making for a fun evening
Very funny!! Cool to see the foo fighters in a movie like this! And Dave is a fantastic actor
As far as story goes its pretty bland. The jokes and deaths are what carry the majority of this movie. All in all a decent way to pass the time if you wanna see a movie an not think too much.
Going in to this movie not knowing anything about it, this movie was everything I expected it to be. Funny, gory, kinda corny and oh so entertaining. For a bunch of guys who arent actors the Foo Fighters did awesome. Whitney Cummings was a pleasant surprise. I am a huge fan of her stand up. Great movie the I would totally watch again.
Very fun and funny movie if you like funny and gory this will be a good time for you.
Unnecessary amounts of gore from the very first scene and satanic symbols displayed through the opening credits. Made my date and I uncomfortable enough that we had to leave. So sad because he LOVES Foo Fighters and was excited for the movie.
Pretty decent film for not having real actors as the stars, excellent support cast, decent deaths for a horror movie and just the right amount of comedy!
Love the Foo Fighters thats why we went to see this . Expecting more of a comedy than a horror film. Very predictable plot, lots of unnecessary violence. Sorry David but the Beatles wouldnt have put out a movie like this, just sayin!
My kind of horror movie. Love the Foos
Hilariously Satanic movie with great rock horror scenes. I love the cast and the premise of the movie. Just wish there would have a been an epic rock battle between the band and Satan.
