I would have loved even a more complex and realistic interplay between politics, media and the events. There are interesting anarchist underpinnings that give the story an inspiring air, but it's also true that nothing much happens, on the island or in the film, beyond some parties and some expected conflict and resolution, bringing a few people closer. Perhaps there's deeper insight right there---such is probably the case with most bold endeavors, and the film delivers this sense quite admirably. Unlikely and amazing as the story sounds, knowing this is a true story grounded me into the reality of the moments these people lived, and the realisation that we should always do what we believe in.
