In contrast to the Disney animation, Garrone presents to us has a more adult and profound look, since, like the literary text, it is aimed at both children and adults, in their entire age range, since it takes up the crudeness of Collodi's text.

Don’t take young kids. I took my six year olds. She didn’t hate it but I was bothered by the hanging scene. Just too dark for young kids. I was very bored and did not find it funny.
