What to Know

Critics Consensus

Capping off Tommy Shelby's story with grit and swagger, The Immortal Man is a satisfying conclusion to Peaky Blinders that also stands tall on its own self-contained terms.

Somehow, [Murphy’s] still managing to find new depth and emotional layers in a character that, by all rights, should have become a caricature a long time ago. Go to Full Review

“The Immortal Man” rises to the level of real cinema pulled from smaller TV origins, fit for a year when, like the Shelbys, we find ourselves coping with a world turning into rubble. Go to Full Review

If this is indeed the end of the "Peaky Blinders" story as we know it, it's an immensely satisfying one: a poignant, masterfully crafted bookend that honors everything we love about the Shelby family saga. Go to Full Review

The extraordinary Cillian Murphy brings a melancholy and resolve, along with the uncanny ability to engender sympathy for a character whose cursed life has been conducted on the wrong side of society. Go to Full Review

Kassi M 2d Love Peaky—the series. One of my favorites. The writing or story did not meet my expectations. In the series Thomas Shelby faced far worse adversaries. The depth of the “bad guy” was nonexistent. The beginning was too slow but at the same time could have delivered more in depth setting for the story. It played out like a fast-read novella. I just thing the story could have been expanded with better story. The acting was as good as the show has always been. Still glad I went to see it. I will always consider PB one of my all-time favorite series. See more Kevin B 2d Great movie great series wrap up See more pier5 2d Aa an avid & early Peaky Blinders fan, I am very disappointed in this film. It is empty of Peaky Blinder swagger & excitement. The storyline is weak as probably a follow up from S6. I thought Tommy would & should return in a much more interesting way. THE SON ... Duke, ... ZERO for this guy & by far the biggest disappointment. Yes, he looks like a thug. Tommy never did. Extending him to a series? O please NO! I 'm an admirer of Rebecca Ferguson, but, she is out of character as a 'GYPSY QUEEN'. I thought her wig was ready to fall off. The twin sister Zelda inhabiting her body to have sex with Tommy felt & looked so cold. Cilian, as usual, was in character as called for as an aged & worn down Thomas Shelby, until he decides to perform for his son. I do so wish he appeared to be the strong & 'cool' Tommy, walking with his coat tails flapping ..., but now he walks alone without his family. Where is Charles? (In uniform at the funeral?) Where is Finn? Tommy rides on his black horse through a not recognizable Birmingham which looked so AI generated. The thrill of Tommy riding his black horse with his music in the background through the town could not be recreated, not this film's intention, but perhaps it could have been worked in as a memory. I wish Tommy was the real Tommy for at least more than 1 or 2 glimpses. I miss him & the Shelby family, There is an empty feeling throughout the film. There was so much action in the series I figured the movie would give the same energy. I still enjoyed it.
