Logan D @Greynomad38 01/09/2025 A young girl named Clara goes on a quest to save her nutcracker, which has been kidnapped by mice. An unknown film to me. Takeo Nakamura worked on Santa Claus is Coming to Town and directed this beautiful film. The techniques utilized for the stop motion are remarkable and advanced for it's time. Sadly, he didn't direct much else. There was also this dark figure at the beginning, Ragman, whom I wished we had seen fleshed out more. Very dark for a children's film. It's been stuck in my head ever since. I remember being extremely disturbed by the ragman. He was one of the creepiest images of my childhood. I wish I could see it again. There's nothing like a good twisted claymation movie. If you're a fan than you may also want to check out "The Secret Adventures Of Tom Thumb".
