At 100 minutes, it’s fair to say Nude Tuesday overstays its welcome a little — it’s quite slight, after all - and some of the jokes can be hit and miss. But it’s funny nonetheless.

However one chooses to understand the scenes in pure gibberish—subtitles be damned—nonetheless drives home one important point. Emotions, in English or Latin or otherwise, are always universal.

It’s almost a shame they’ve bothered with the subtitles at all, as much of the comedy speaks for itself, which makes the subtitles feel rather “pushed” to lewd extremes in a bid to extract further laughs in places.

The concept is pure genious, I would've been interested what the original script was, and what the other subtitles look like. The gibberish sounds like a legit language and the film has a great 90s Scandinavian film style to it.
