Mars Needs Moms Reviews
Mars Needs Moms is Disney’s biggest failure yet. Some of the animation is good…but the character designs are so unnatural! I could tell they worked hard to make it realistic…but why can’t it be live action! From the trailers…I knew this movie wouldn’t be that good. Then it took me a few weeks to get over it, so I watched it on vacation…I’ll give it that it’s enjoyable at times…but this movie is not really taking the emotional parts seriously! It just is so wacky, until it realizes it should be emotional…but many other movies did it better, maybe not the worst in history, but it’s just sad to see that Disney failed big time here because it’s still one of my favorite studios.
The overambitious animation style resulted in wonky visuals. Despite this shortcoming, I thought this movie was amazing! The story was heartwarming and compelling, and it was so much fun to watch. I definitely recommend it!
Everyone hates this Disney animation design, saying it’s the worst. But I actually like it — it brings back old memories from when I was a kid.
One of the ugliest movies I've watched. The mocap animation looks really bad, the character designs are worse and painful to watch, especially the aliens. The story itself was pretty bad and the movie didn't explain a lot of things. My eyes are still bleeding.
Based on a book by Berkeley Breathed, the mother of a young boy named Milo is abducted by Martians. The animation in this film was done by ImageMovers Digital by using motion capture and while the body movements worked, the face expressions did not work. This creates some off putting characters, though during the credits they show behind the scenes of how they captured the motion of the actors. The writing in this movie is horrible, none of the jokes land and the movie as a whole feels like it was improvised from beginning to end instead of storyboarded. The Martians do have an unique and interesting design and the animators did a great job on some backgrounds, especially the Earth ones. There are good reasons why this movie bombed in theaters, save yourself the headache and skip watching this movie.
“Visually well-crafted”… yeah right. Isn’t this the plot of the Jimmy Neutron movie?
"Mars Needs Moms" can be characterized as one huge festering pimple on the reputation of Disney, from which the studio suffered massive financial losses, hit the reputation of Robert Zemeckis and thereby closed a bunch of potential projects. If you don't pay attention to the graphics, it was a bit of an interesting story, but the fact is that the shell (graphics) lost all the beauty and attractiveness of everything.
I remember liking it as a kid but UNLIKE chicken little, shark tale, and kronk's new groove, I don't get why.
I just watched the movie, I didn't like it.. AT ALL, the characters looked so bad, the animation looked gross… Everything about it was just wrong. I am so disappointed in Disney, who even decided that Mars Need Moms would be a great movie in the first place? I dislike it, I don't recommend it, and that's my conclusion.
Los aliens son feos la historia es horrible y los humanos se ven bien no tiene sentido tiene escenas triste pero es un 4 de 10
I loved this movie as a kid. childhood!!!!!!
It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I hate this type of animated movies and I'm sorry for Seth Green.
I remember reading the book & watching this movie.
i actually thought it was fun it had heart and while the animation is creepy its still fun
I remember reading the book & watching this movie.
Me and my children love it, gives you the understanding of how much a son loves his mother and what he had todo to save her and all the population.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THIS IS SCARY DO NOT TAKE MY MOMMY I NEEEEEED HER TO MAKE ME MASHED POTATOES #scared

I liked it! And of course, I'm a big fan of Berkeley Breathed whose book this movie is based on. It wasn't as bad as some reviewers said at all. The faces of the humans were a little strange but overall I thought it was a very enjoyable movie that kids would like.
