Lethal Weapon 3 Reviews

Sep 15, 2025

Mel Gibson with a mullet and Shmoe Pecky ruined the whole francise for me. Avoid.

So, a dirty cop who faked his own death has season tickets for the LA Kings?

I’m really glad that LETHAL WEAPON 3 kept its original formula just like its predecessors. It is a crazy and outstanding action movie that definitely delivers the goods without losing any of its sense of humor.

Although the action goes down and the comedy goes up, the movie is still great and so fun to watch. Now we are here for them, for the family of Lethal Weapon. Mr. Donner it's in a confort zone, enjoying to make this saga, his saga.

Lethal Weapon misses the mark that same films have, but still manages to be a decent sequel. There was just too much happening with this one. It had no simple contained story like the first two. But at least we still get the classic banter between the characters.

this movie is about very interesting detectives. It is a very interesting movie when a corrupt policeman goes out to arrest someone. The director made it clear in the film that there are people like this

The movie was a very exciting adventure from start to finish

A slight downgrade from the previous films, Lethal Weapon 3 struggles to captivate storywise but cranks the action up a notch, making it enjoyable nonetheless.

Good action film but I wasn’t as captivated by it as the first two. Definitely worth a watch though.

Richard Donner's direction is fine as is the acting, however the writing is very tired. There's no new story, no friendship dynamic, and less action sequences than the first two. The villain is not memorable and just constantly casually walks into the LAPD police headquarters like it's nothing. It wants to have a modern message about gang violence and the supply of guns to the streets, but it's all so awkward and contrived. Murtaugh just screams RIGGS! for most of Danny Glover's lines, despite remaining the heart of the series. Mel Gibson talks like he's on cocaine the entire time. It's a mess.

Lethal Weapon 3 is a solid entry in the popular action-comedy franchise, although it may not quite reach the heights of its predecessors. While the formula may be starting to wear off a bit, the addition of Renee Russo as a love interest for Mel Gibson's character brings some much-needed energy and excitement to the film. As always, the chemistry between Gibson and Danny Glover is a highlight of the movie, and their banter and action sequences are as entertaining as ever. However, the plot itself may feel a bit familiar to fans of the series, and some of the action scenes may not be as innovative or thrilling as they were in earlier installments. Despite these minor flaws, Lethal Weapon 3 is still a fun and entertaining movie that delivers on the series' signature blend of humor and action. And with the addition of Russo's character, the franchise is given a fresh injection of life that keeps things interesting and engaging. Overall, while it may not be as awesome as some of the earlier films, Lethal Weapon 3 is still a solid and enjoyable entry in the series.

Lethal Weapon 3 is a movie that I watched recently and I have to say, I was not very impressed. The plot was lackluster and the acting was mediocre at best. The chemistry between the two main characters, played by Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, was not as strong as in the previous installments of the franchise. The storyline felt forced and lacked any real suspense or excitement. The action scenes were lacking and not very well choreographed, leaving me feeling underwhelmed and disinterested. The script was not particularly witty or memorable, and the attempts at humor fell flat. Overall, Lethal Weapon 3 is a disappointing addition to the series. It lacks the charm and excitement of the previous films and fails to deliver a compelling storyline or engaging characters.

Not really sure why this was made but its passable. The acting is not bad. Gibson & Glover still have decent chemistry with each other but it seems a bit exaggerated here and less natural. Riggs feels like he is a bit too over the top at times with his recklessness, again it doesn't feel natural at times which never happened in the other 2. The supporting cast is ok overall, Russo is ok and doesn't really have the same chemistry or charm the two leads have. Pesci is very annoying here and feels out of place at times. Also the villain is generic and easily the most forgettable of the 3 villains in the series. The cinematography is solid with well framed shots and very good special effects but it feels a bit over the top at times. There are also some plot holes especially right off the bat why Riggs can't wait for the bomb squad. The music is ok enough with a weird comedic slapstick element to it that feels out of place and just the generic score from the first two that's watered down. The pacing is ok enough and so is the editing. It feel like stuff just happens in the middle with no logical flow from them being street patrol to the women security guard loving Roger, it just doesn't have a natural flow. The humor really doesn't work that well here with a lot falling flat and making you roll your eyes. I'd say the more reliance on humor here is the biggest problem from the Dog Biscuits running gag, Leo's failed comedic relief, The dog in the warehouse and a bunch of others don't really hit and make things drag. This feels like its trying to be Naked Gun sometimes rather than a serious action movie like the previous 2 and can't make it work smoothly. Honestly unless your a die hard fan of Buddy Cop or Action movies I'd say skip this. Stick to the first 2.
