Audrey Woods (Julianne Moore) and Daniel Rafferty (Pierce Brosnan) are rival divorce lawyers who are complete opposites: She relies on the law, while he relies on personality. They are hired to represent opposing sides of a celebrity divorce case involving a rock star (Michael Sheen), a dress designer (Parker Posey) and a custody dispute over an Irish castle. The actors work hard to concoct some chemistry, but it's tough to be Tracy and Hepburn, let alone Doris Day and Rock Hudson, when you're trying to get your mouth around lines that wouldn't pass muster on a UPN sitcom.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Um filme de comédia e romance divertido e agradável de assistir. A dupla protagonista é essencialmente diferente um do outro e a atuação de Julianne Moore e Pierce Brosnan refletem muito bem isso. Como casal Moore e Brosnan não tem uma química tão fantástica, mas como rivais, que se odeiam e se gostam ao mesmo tempo, funcionam bem.

Laws Of Attraction simply doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same paragraph as the Tracy/Hepburn classic a lot of the critics compared it with so, I won't mention that film's title here. The two leads are certainly attractive, but neither they nor the script generates any sparks. In fact, nothing memorable or very amusing happens on-screen during the brief running time, except perhaps for a nice supporting turn by Fisher (who looks much too young here to be Moore's mother).
