I'm being generous with the stars, because despite the stupidity of the two women in the middle of the end of the world, the acting was great and the plot is a good one. I mean are there really two people this stupid on earth? I certainly wouldn't want to survive with them. They chose no good decisions, wasted bullets, wasted food, wasted gas, didn't stick together. Just completely plain stupid. And to imply that they would somehow survive without conveniences is a complete joke.

Feel like watching two privileged white girls make countless stupid decisions for hours on end? Then tune in! You’ll love the random violent acts and unbelievably predictable accidents thrown in the mix just to annoy those left watching. The preview was edited well because it convinced my wife and I that we had to watch so my half star is for the preview. This movie is painfully bad. Don’t let the trailer and fairly high reviews fool you.

Apparently the guy from The Handmaid’s Tale has an accent? Okay, gotta say up front that there’s a brutal scene here that I was not prepared for. For the rest of it, though... Evan Rachel Wood is absolutely killing it, as always. I didn’t really have much sense what the movie was going to be about going in. Major credit to the cinematographer on this one... Station Eleven! Max Richter’s score adds a really nice layer. I don't totally get the ending though, a bit confusing. Felt kind of like they didn’t know how to wrap it up. The motivation of the characters was unclear.
