Following the death of her mother and a series of self-inflicted setbacks, young Ingrid Thorburn escapes a humdrum existence by moving out West to befriend her Instagram obsession, a Los Angeles socialite named Taylor Sloane. Plaza may be typecast at this point, but it's cuz she's good at this kind of character. The movie finds its way in the second half.

Okay, but I was actually expecting a more dramatic or clever ending. The ending was a bit pathetic. I was thinking "You" or "Saltburn", and then the main character just wilted. But I stayed tuned. It kept me watching. I just wanted more from the main character. It was like she was almost a sociopath, but then she just couldn't go all the way with the sociopathy. It's very much like a real person, but that doesn't make good TV.

Solid offbeat comedy from 2017 that is still just as relevant today as it confirms what the majority of folks already knew - most people on social media are certifiably insane. Gotta love a movie that brings truths to light.
