Three college roommates, Derrick (James Marsden), Jones (Lena Headey) and Travis (Norman Reedus), create a class project on gossip. They decide to start a rumor stating that Naomi Preston (Kate Hudson), who has openly admitted she is saving herself for marriage, was seen at a crowded college party having sex with her boyfriend, Beau (Joshua Jackson). They aim to track the rumor to see how it spreads and evolves, but they are shocked when Naomi promptly accuses Beau of rape.

The college kids in Gossip live unreal lives in an unreal world and deal with unreal problems. We watch them destroy themselves in a remarkably unreal fashion, and I still think we're supposed to feel sorry for them.

Replace the flip phones with iPhones, the word-of-mouth hallway gossip with retweets, and the salacious storyline could work just as well for today's audience.

You think you know where this movie is going, but believe you me you don't and that whats great about this film. Its well acted and unpredictable that left me happy at the end of the day.
