The only thing that doesn't make it a 5 in my eyes is the (SPOILER) scene where the mother is in the woods, seemingly possessed. To me, it was out of place, and didn't quite add up as the rest of the plot developed. Aside from this, however, I do believe this work is one-of-a-kind in its dread, mystery, and haunting setting, not to mention the story it tells. While the twists are obvious and the reveal at the end is not that big of a surprise, the atmosphere and acting (especially from the young actors) and direction definitely elevate this creepy bed time tale. This movie came so close to making me feel as disturbed as Speak No Evil and We Need to Talk About Kevin did! IhateitIloveitIhateitIloveit!! I still feel like there are some loose ends, though.
