The audience knows where the movie's going, and gets there before the movie does. Nonetheless it bodes nicely for longtime horror producer Travis Stevens, here making his feature debut behind the camera.

Ending kinda goes off the rails and over a cliff, This would have been a comedy, complete with montages, if made in the 80s and went on to become a cult classic and then turned into a television series.

Great visuals and production. CM Punk does very well acting-wise, as does the rest of the cast. Story is decent, has it flaws but overall a pretty good flick.

It’s got a unique and intriguing premise, great imagery, and solid directing, but it’s held back by god-awful acting and a clichéd third act. Wouldn’t recommend it.

The audience score for this one’s really baffling, as it’s a consistently entertaining update on the classic haunted house story. In place of the pervasive gothic atmosphere typically used to creepy effect in haunted house movies, this one derives its suspense from toxic relationships/behaviors to appropriately disturbing effect. The grotesque visuals near the end of the movie betray the influence of some of David Cronenberg’s body horror.
