Maddy (Amandla Stenberg) is a smart, curious and imaginative 18-year-old who is unable to leave the protection of the hermetically-sealed environment within her house because of an illness. Olly (Nick Robinson) is the boy next door who won't let that stop them from being together. Everything, Everything isn't without intelligence or charm, but just because a film is set in a sanitised environment doesn't mean that it should look or feel as antiseptically, oppressively pastel as this.

Pretty predictable as Maddy is willing to risk it all to experience life and be with Olly. A horrifying twist in the third act turns the film dark and the issues it raises are never addressed. The story pretty much falls apart at that point.

Whilst yes, the plot is completely predictable, the chemistry is good between the two lead actors, who both shine, but not exceptionally brightly. The film touches on some key and dark topics that could have made this film great if it had delved into them deeper, instead, they were glossed over (likely to cater to a younger audience). This leads to a sweet, romantic story, that whilst lacking depth, it still enjoyable to watch.

Everything, everything. I can't really understand the deal exactly towards this movie. Was she really sick, was her mother scared and lied to her. Is it a make believe sickness. Can one actually fall in this way.

Everything everything is a movie that really tugs at your emotions. We recommend this movie because despite it being sad, it's actually interesting. With it's great cast, the movie is a great adaptation of the book. The plot twist towards the end of the movie makes us cry every time we watch it. The book May provide more information about different things that they don't talk about in the movie, but it gives us a reason to go between the book and the movie to compare as well as fill in different blanks.
