Drinking Buddies could suffer a little from its marketing, which may suggest to some audiences that it is just a regular rom com. But luckily, it is nothing like that. It is something much, much better.

The film plays it straight, leaves resolution to be needed but yet is satisfying on every level. Again, in a film where every character and the entire aesthetic is inspired by realism, the movie ends on a note that elevates it to that position.

Dumbest, most pointless movie ever. At least through 3/4 of the movie, you sit there with hope that it's going to go a certain way...then in the final scene, they give you a scene that is the most depressing choice they possibly could have made. Of course, the Rotten Tomatoes critics love it, as they love everything that shows human struggle without resolve. Yikes.
