Cal Weaver (Steve Carell) is living the American dream. He has a good job, a beautiful house, great children and a beautiful wife, named Emily (Julianne Moore). Cal's seemingly perfect life unravels, however, when he learns that Emily has been unfaithful and wants a divorce. Over 40 and suddenly single, Cal is adrift in the fickle world of dating. Enter, Jacob Palmer (Ryan Gosling), a self-styled player who takes Cal under his wing and teaches him how to be a hit with the ladies.

This is such a great movie. So many different feels all throughout. You feel for and understand where each character is at. I love the character of Hannah's best friend, Liz. She is the inner voice in all of us.

This movie was absolutely hilarious and so much fun to watch! Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling were the perfect comedy duo, and the story was absolutely perfect and full of crazy and stupid moments that had me dying laughing. I definitely recommend it for romance, comedy, and drama fans!
