Perseus (Harry Hamlin), son of the Greek god Zeus (Laurence Olivier), grows up on a deserted island. His destiny is to marry Princess Andromeda (Judi Bowker), who will someday rule the city of Joppa. But as long as the satyr Calibos (Neil McCarthy) -- who uses a giant vulture to kidnap Andromeda's soul every night -- is alive, no one can marry her. Perseus travels to Joppa, where he must defeat Calibos and other mythological monsters to rescue Andromeda.

Children of all ages will come out happy enough, I would imagine. Dingy colour, a pretty rotten script and the two-hour length were my main complaints. But it was fun while three-quarters of it lasted.

I remember this movie as a kid and wanted to watch it again. It's not a terrible movie. It has some good moments, but many other boring one's.

Its kinda crazy cause I actually can relate to the animated skeletons cause theres one inside me right now. I dont have snakes for hair so medusa isnt nearly as relatable and honestly I couldnt attach myself to the character. AMAZING film -Beavis C, 9/6/2025

Harry Hamlin isn't that good in this and in bits if feels a bit clunky and slow. But most of it is amazing and adventurous and the medusa scene is *chef's kisses*.

It was an alright of a movie for the 80s era. Effects were good for its time. They picked the right actress to play as Andromeda. Though it's like a lot of the 80s films, the acting can be much better from the main character.

A guilty pleasure of mine. A poor man’s epic adventure. I enjoy the practical stop motion. A lot of the superimposed images are pretty bad. My complaint is that the main character just drops everything when he needs to hold on to it. The helmet, the sword, the shield, the sword, the sword yet again and the bag.

The original "Clash of the Titans" is a goofy movie but it is an enjoyable one. The special effects are reminiscent of a different era but I liked seeing them. The story has a lot of Greek mythology in it which made it an easy watch. I did feel it got a bit boring at times but the action scenes kept it enjoyable. Overall, this is very much a cheesy 80s action movie with over-the-top moments and it really hasn't aged all that well, but it was too good of a time to say it was truly bad.
