Justin T 3d The flashing is so intense it’s hard to tell what’s going on in some of the more exciting scenes. The editing is great most of the time showing the right reactions etc but it’s too choppy in the action. Maybe they didn’t have much to work with. The cinematography was questionable. The casting is good for the adults but bad for the children, especially the leader. The ‘comedy’ is very subjective, I didn’t hate it. The film got really boring in the middle, they just didn’t have the story to make a whole film. The last 25 minutes was so cheesy but so entertaining although the finale was an anticlimax. Eva Mendes looks amazing. Some character decisions were incomprehensible and I didn’t like the melodrama. Each film has its own slightly different take on the lore, it’s not as bad as the leprechaun franchise but still inconsistent. It’s not very gory and the special effects are still not special. One really cool practical effect was ruined by shoddy visual effects and editing. Half the characters I couldn't get invested in so I was just really watching to see how each of them would die. Massive plot holes that makes no sense and a lot of convenient plot points were made to get the story going.
