Big D. @ihatethisintrusion Mar 2 Actually a decent movie but SO DARK. So dark. Almost unwatchable. If you want to end your movie-watching experience with a heavy heart and a disturbed mind, go for it. Dark not like a horror movie with cheap thrills but dark like the very depths of the human soul. My advice? Stay away. Literally one of the most disturbing movies I’ve ever seen. The stepmother delivers the preacher’s child and kills the baby to save the mother. The preacher then begins a revenge spiral and kills the father and stepmother. A daughter of the deceased parents is then sent to a brothel where she finds a maternal prostitute. The preacher appears at the brothel and has enough money to get whatever he wants. He takes the girl he orphaned and trouble ensues. The end of the movie is full of twists and resolutions that resolve the story in interesting ways.
