Found video footage tells the tale of three film students (Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard, Michael C. Williams) who've traveled to a small town to collect documentary footage about the Blair Witch, a legendary local murderer. Over the course of several days, the students interview townspeople and gather clues to support the tale's veracity. But the project takes a frightening turn when the students lose their way in the woods and begin hearing horrific noises.

The poor footage quality, total amateur filming style and distant audio sound coupled with the setting of the New England woods, holds up well. While it lacks the polish and delivery that a true filmmaker’s film would deliver, it’s supposed to.

This movie was incredible! The horror was top-notch, the style was to die for, and the slow burn and dread that builds up makes the ending so worth it. The cast was also great: most of the movie was improve, and they managed to create iconic lines and scenes on the spot with the famous ending also being improvised. While many people would like to argue, I think The Blair Witch Project holds up very well --- and I can prove that by stating the fact that I'm a young person watching and enjoying this in the year of 2026. Five stars.

if you want to be cozy and on edge at the same time watch this. Only way I can describe it. The film felt raw and real, I was absolutely entrapped by it. Half a star because of the cliffhanger other than that 10/10
