06/30/2013 loved every mind bending minute David plays this role brilliantly See more 04/04/2013 Depression in a very weird movie. See more 09/08/2012 What do you know about living life? Who doesn't like happy endings? See more 09/04/2012 Long storyline but it's a fare movie See more 08/23/2012 I read the other reviews, and they were too harsh. Yes, the editing was bad. Yes, it was hard to tell reality from imagination, insanity and/or dream sequences. Yes, the script was kind of off. Yes, Arquette was good at being mediocre. Yes, the landlady was freakishly awesome. Yes, it was confusing. Without spoiling the ending, I couldn't actually tell which of the endings was real and had to re-watch it, so thank goodness it was a DVD (actually, "straight to DVD"). What I liked about this movie was the portrayal of an alcoholic's spiral downward and how devastating that process is to the alcoholic and those around him/her. I liked the freakishness in parts, the surrealism. I didn't like the lack of clarity. But I did like the -- I think? -- positive ending? Not sure...... See more 08/13/2012 A something and nothing tale that drifts along looking for it's point but never really finds it. Arquette is the only reason to watch and he does a really good job at conveying a rather dull role. I don't think there is anything so tiresome as a screenplay written by a writer about how hard it is to be a writer and this comes a close second with it's protagonist being a movie score composer, and it's tribute to Arquette that it was watchable... just rather forgettable.
