Samantha Kingston (Zoey Deutch) seems to have it all: popularity, a loving boyfriend (Kian Lawley) and a seemingly perfect future. Decent for what it is. It's a play on Groundhog's Day, without the good comedy. It does have a nice message and I enjoyed watching it at home.

At first, I was a bit torn about the film. But now I have to say, it really stays with you for a long time and is actually pretty good. There’s a lot to think about or interpret when it comes to the plot. I liked the soundtrack a lot. The film is often compared to Happy Death Day, although I think Before I Fall is not as good as that one. Still, it’s a successful mystery thriller.

The movie tries to cover new ground in an overworked trope, managing only to come across as mean, drab and shallow. None of the characters redeem themselves in the end, and all attempts to right wrongs come across as tokenism.

Synopsis
