Anon Reviews
Slow burning future based film noire at it's finest.
This movie becomes more relevant as time passes. A good watch.
A movie that was made seven years too soon.
Excellent! Critics know nothing... This movie is very underrated.. The idea, the story, the execution are all fantastic! Great movie!
Vale apena assistir? Sim por uma proposta diferente. Nota: 7
I enjoyed it. A world with No PRIVACY..... Imagine that...... oh wait..... the one we live in
The story is very usual which keeps you watching, its somewhat a slow burner. Not a bad film.
A sweet dystopia, hiwever not rely memorable. Not to deep either.
It's an intriguing movie, though a bit hard to follow unless you are really committed to paying full attention. One thing that bothered me while trying to "buy in" to the whole premise is why regular video/security camera technology doesn't appear to exist in this world, and why the only recordings of anyone or anything is solely available by hacking into a humans memory/visions.
I quickly gave up. Bleak movie, poor story line, just not worth the time to finish watching.
I really like this movie. It evokes thoughts of movies like Equilibrium. It's not a fast-paced movie, but it's not exactly slow. Imagine having a futuristic access to memories and then having them deleted slowly without the ability to stop it.
What a poorly executed mess. Very interesting and thought provoking concept though. Massive confusion and chaotic plot that increases your anxiety. That said, there was no shortage of naked attractive ladies. The director probably figured out that it was the only way to get someone to finish watching this bundle of chaos till the end. It worked.
A hacker is killing people and getting away with it in a world where technology has destroyed people right to privacy.
Decent movie, absolutely deserve better rating but it's not a masterpiece.
Great concept, horrible execution. It's like the writers stopped at every scene and said "you know what this scene needs? Boobs."
himself the target in his quest to find These These negative reviews have me stumped. I've certainly seen PLENTY worse than "Anon," and I wouldn't even put this film into the bad category. It was a thoughtful story told at a steady pace, and as it developed I began becoming more and more unnerved by the power of our villain, who has to be one of the most original baddies in recent film memory. Clive Owen does a great job as the weary, grieving detective, who deliberately makesout not only who this criminal is but how she's crafting her killings. The style is strong with its icy cold blue hues and the performances are solid. Put it this way: Last night I watched Inception and I still couldn't tell you what that thing was about, other than people can put thoughts into other people's minds during dreams. By comparison, this film isn't constantly explaining its science to you. We're aware pretty quickly what's at stake here for this futuristic society that has become so digitized that even their memories are "stored" and thus vulnerable to deletion. Call me crazy, but I found it a fun and worthy ride.
"I have nothing to hide. There's nothing that I want you to see."
I was very excited to watch this movie. It seemed to have the black mirror style story line I like in suspenseful movies. However, that all changed after the first 8 minutes. When the main character painted a white blonde woman, who was stolen from I might add, as the bad guy, and her black maid as a saint, that was one thing. But the very next scene, they painted two white men who one had shot and killed a black man for reaching into his pocket, as racist piles of crap, I turned it off and deleted my Netflix account. This racial bias is shameful. We judge people based on the content on their character, not the color of their skin. We are tired of the media, big tech, Hollywood and the government being racially bias.
