In the year 20XX, a huge and mysterious flower called "Darol" suddenly appears in Japan. Volunteers like Rita, a resourceful but lonely young woman who does not fit in with her peers, are dispatched to help clean up and rebuild. But one day, Darol suddenly emits a deafening signal, and its surrounding fruit bursts, revealing hordes of creatures that quickly slaughter everyone. Rita makes a valiant attempt to escape but dies in the attempt. Then... she wakes up again, only to witness the same tragedy. And again. love the tom cruise version but love getting the Manga animated!!!

The animation was attractive, more stylistic rather than realistic, especially the people in the movie. The premise was interesting with a Groundhog-Day like time loop. The ending was more bittersweet instead of the the tragic ones often seen in anime movies.

Good animation, great music, but this being a derivative anime adjacent to the Tom Cruise movie just does not work with its conflicting themes and very slow story progression and one-note shallow characters.
