"For ages, aliens have locked up their prisoners in humans' bodies." In the year 2022, Guard (KIM Woo-bin) and Thunder live on Earth, managing alien prisoners who have been locked up in humans' brains. One day, a spacecraft appears in the sky over Seoul, and the police detective Moon (SO Ji-sub, "Moon") witnesses a strange sight.... Meanwhile 630 years earlier during the Goryeo Dynasty, the hapless dosa (Korean tao magician) Muruk (RYU Jun-yeol) and Ean (KIM Tae-ri), the so-called "The Girl Who Shoots Thunder", each scramble to outwit each other in pursuit of the mystical Divine Blade, for which a huge reward is being offered. Two sorcerers in search of the Divine Blade's secrets, Madam Black (YUM Jung-ah) and Mr. Blue (JO Woo-jin), as well as the masked Jajang (KIM Eui-sung), also set out on a desperate scramble to obtain the Blade. Meanwhile, a spacecraft emerges from a deep river, emitting light.... Those who pursue alien prisoners locked in human bodies in the year 2022, and the sorcerers who pursue the legendary Divine Blade in the year 1391.... When the door of time opens, everything becomes entangled!

The amazing thing is, as dorky and overstuffed as the plot tends to be—Alienoid is also often fast enough to keep pressing forward. What a rush; what a headache.

There’s a lot of moving parts, not all of them work as they should but figuring the sheer volume of what’s been thrown at the wall by Choi Dong-hoon’s script, some things are sure to stick.

The road is bumpy at times but it helps that Choi effortlessly maintains a light tone throughout and stacks a star-studded cast that anchors the story that, to say the least, romps around.

One of the most bonkers movies of the year. A sci-fi spectacle filled with time travel, aliens, robots, and magical cats. It can get overwhelming at times, but is an overall entertaining over the top watch.

My rating is Daebak! Amazing action and sci-fi scenes. Acting was perfect. Comedy was Hilarious! Love all the actors but Kim Taeris action and Yum Jung Ahs comedy gave it that little extra something.

wasn't expecting a sequel, or more ? Found the feature to be entertaining and suspenseful ( edge of the seat ). Just like the Korean dramas I consume on TV at home.
